High accuracy thanks to direct gearless mounting to the application shaft plus high resolution (13 bit singleturn / 15 bit multiturn)
Interference-free signal transmission to the function modules in the switchboard via just one fiber optic cable (up to 1000 m)
High reliability even when exposed to extreme operating conditions
Options: Without SIL/PL certification (UOL(H) 40); through hollow shaft, solid shaft for flange or foot mounting

The new universal basic units | |
The basic units of the new second-generation universal encoder systems determine and monitor speed and position. They measure the speed and angular position of the application shaft, convert electrical signals into optical signals and transmit them to the (safety) control unit with no interference via fiber optic cable. The compact basic units with an integrated LWL (FOC) transmitter are ideal for mounting onto the shaft because the electronic function modules are stored separately in the switchboard. The units are suitable for use both in new plants and as a modernization solution. Direct mounting requires no additional mechanical components such as distribution gears, distribution couplings or speed increasing gears. The systems are optionally available as certified up to SIL 2 / PL d. |
