The proven universal basic units
The compact basic units of the universal encoder systems are part of the first generation of this group of products. They sense and monitor speeds and positions. This solution sees the function modules housed in the switchboard, which makes them particularly compact to attach to the shaft. Disturbance free signal transmission is guaranteed per fiber optic cable, even over longer distances. The basic units are suitable for use both in new systems as well as for upgrade solutions. No additional mechanical components such as transfer gearbox, transfer couplings or speed step-up gearing are required to facilitate direct attachment. The systems are optionally certified for safety integrated speed monitoring up to SIL 2 / PL d.
